INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE AUTHORS

File type

For each work (oral or poster) that you intend to present at the Conference, you have to submit a text in English, between 1,000 and 15,000 characters (including spaces), in Word format. The text may also include up to three figures, which may be in colour. The file name should contain the surname of the first author and the session in which the work will be presented (e.g. 1.1_Verdi.docx). Edit the heading as well and include the number of the session you chose.

Authors

The author’s name should be written using only the initial letter of the first name, followed by the surname. In the case of multiple authors, all names (including the last) should be separated only by a comma. Please avoid using the conjunction “and”. The authors’ affiliation should contain only essential information: department, university or institution, city, state. Please do not include the address (street, postal code, email).

The reference author is the first author: we kindly ask you to include at the end of the text (after bibliography) its e-mail address for all the necessary communications.

Text structure

The text must be in English; it does not have to include an initial summary, and it can be organised in chapters. Figures must be inserted into the text (a maximum of three), and must have a caption in the text and in the caption itself, using Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc., and tables must be labelled with Tab. 1, Tab. 2, etc.

Acknowledgements

Acknowledgements or recognitions can be reported under the heading “Acknowledgements”.

References

Bibliographic references can be included under the title “References”.

Figures

Figures must be inserted into the text (three figures maximum) in .jpg or .png format, in a quality suitable for subsequent printing, with a resolution of 300 ppi (pixels per inch) in the final print size.
